Question by propanepower: Kansas state Dental/ oral health care programs/assistance.?
my Girlfriend is 24 years old, works for wal-mart part time, has no insurance and makes approximately 700 dollars a month. she is now in sever need to have her wisdom teeth removed. what state funded (if any) are available through the state of Kansas to assist her? we have applied for carecredit, hers was turned down on the spot, while mine is in a 24 hour review status. our credit is shot, we both have made bad choices in the past and are now paying for them, who ever thought school would be a bad choice right? i doubt mine will be approved. i have searched for many variations of Kansas state dental/oral health care assitance/ program, so far i have not found much. i will continue my search through the nigh for more options, if you can help , please do, any good suggestion would be appricated.
our heath care center does not havea dentist, but thank you for the info.

Working Americans should not have to worry about dental insurance but many of us do. Here are some resources that should be able to assist you. Contact your local dental society to get the names of dentists/dental clinics that provide free, low-cost or sliding scale fee care. I have included the links below. God Bless. (I’m a Social Worker)

What is the best mouth wash for your overall dental and oral health?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

Question by WOODSEY NILES: What is the best mouth wash for your overall dental and oral health?
Which mouth wash is best for your dental health? I ask specifically which is best for your overall health, because I know there are products which target bad breath. Some of them do that very well, but are they the best for your overall dental health?

So, which mouth wash is best overall?

The Gorn King – for OVERALL DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH? Skip the regular mouthwashes and use hydrogen peroxide as your mouthwash.

if you look at the list of ingredients in most tooth whitening products (including the strips) you may notice that the tooth whitening ingredient is some form of Hydrogen Peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide will not only whiten your teeth it also kills the bacteria in the mouth that causes cavities and bad breath.

Every morning and before bed after brushing and flossing use Hydrogen Peroxide as your mouth wash. You can buy hydrogen peroxide (3% in the brown bottle) at your local drugstore for about $ 2 for a 32 ounce bottle. Mix ½ ounce hydrogen peroxide with ½ ounce hot water and swirl in your mouth for about 1 minute (hydrogen peroxide is odorless and tasteless but it FOAMS and may sting your mouth a bit). After swirling, spit out the hydrogen peroxide (DO NOT SWALLOW) and then rinse your mouth out several times with cool water. A 32 ounce bottle will last about one month.

Using hydrogen peroxide will prevent cavities, whiten your teeth and freshen your breath at a fraction of the cost of regular mouthwash.
